You don't have to be perfect.
You just have to be present.

For 40+ years, our team has been matching Utah kids with families who show up—and supporting them every step of the way.

Our team members have been walking this path for decades.

Open Arms started as a family effort. Today, we're still family-owned and family-focused—matching kids with the right homes and sticking around to make sure it works. Some agencies place kids and move on. That's what makes us different: We stay.

MANDT Training is a comprehensive, evidence-based training program designed to focus on emotional, psychological, and physical safety through positive behavior management. It provides tools for de-escalation, conflict resolution, and, if necessary, safe physical interventions to create a culture of safety. Key Aspects of Mandt Training Core Philosophy: "Support people, not just their behaviors" and "managing ourselves before managing others". Three-Level Approach: The training is structured around relational (building trust), conceptual (understanding behavior), and technical (physical techniques) skills. Components: Relational: Focuses on communication, conflict resolution, and healthy relationships. Conceptual: Focuses on understanding the crisis cycle and de-escalation. Technical: Focuses on physical, non-harmful interventions (e.g., proper release techniques, physical restraint, and monitoring). For families, and organizations seeking to build safe environments. Synonyms/Related: Often referred to as de-escalation training, crisis intervention training, or behavior management training.
