Alexzandria (Alex) Mack
Alexzandria (Alex) Mack is a counseling intern who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life’s challenges and transitions. She strives to create a safe, collaborative space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences while building skills that support long-term well-being.
Alex earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and completed her master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Walden University. Her clinical interests include working with children/adolescents and young adults experiencing anxiety, depression, emotional regulation challenges, ADHD, self-esteem concerns, substance use, and life transitions. Her therapeutic approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Narrative Therapy.
Prior to beginning her clinical training, Alex gained several years of experience working in the mental health field. She worked as a Behavioral Health Technician, followed by roles as a Case Manager serving individuals with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) in mental health court and as a crisis worker in Hawaiʻi. She has also provided community-based support for the SMI population in Utah. These experiences strengthened her commitment to compassionate, person-centered care and deepened her understanding of the diverse challenges individuals face.
Originally from Hawaiʻi, Alex recently relocated to Utah. Outside of the therapy room, she enjoys spending time with her growing family and many animals, exploring new restaurants, weekend travel, and nature photography.

Maria Soberon - AMFT
I believe healing begins when we feel safe, understood, and connected. As a trauma-informed therapist, I work collaboratively with clients to create a compassionate and supportive space for growth and healing.
My approach is rooted in understanding how early experiences, attachment wounds, and transgenerational trauma shape the way we relate to ourselves and others. I integrate trauma-informed care, attachment-based perspectives, and nervous system-informed work to support healing in both the mind and body.
I am passionate about working with children, adolescents, foster youth, families, and couples navigating trauma, emotional challenges, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their strengths, build resilience, and feel empowered in their healing journey.

Vicky Casero- ACMHC
I am a compassionate, trauma-informed mental health professional dedicated to supporting individuals, adolescents, couples, and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges through an evidence-based and client-centered approach. I specialize in helping clients work through trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, and stress management, while also addressing behavioral challenges in youth and adolescents. I provide a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered, and I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, person-centered therapy, and strengths-based approaches to help clients build insight, improve emotional regulation, and develop practical coping skills they can use in daily life. I also have a strong focus on family therapy and relational dynamics, supporting clients in improving communication, resolving conflict, and strengthening relationships across systems. My philosophy of care is grounded in the belief that healing happens through safety, trust, consistency, and collaboration, and that every individual has the capacity for growth and change when given the right support and tools. My goal is to help clients increase emotional resilience, create healthier patterns of thinking and behavior, and navigate life’s challenges with greater stability, confidence, and self-awareness.

Gail Rugg
Gail Rugg is a Licensed Advanced Substance Use Disorder Counselor (ASUDC), Social Service
Worker (SSW), and Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CMHC) intern dedicated to providing
compassionate, evidence-based care to adolescents and adults from diverse backgrounds. With
extensive experience supporting individuals navigating substance use disorders, mental health
challenges, trauma, and life transitions, Gail approaches counseling with empathy, authenticity,
and a deep respect for each client’s unique story and lived experience.
Gail utilizes an integrative, client-centered approach grounded in evidence-based modalities
including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and
Motivational Interviewing (MI). She believes meaningful healing occurs when clients feel
genuinely heard, understood, and empowered within a safe and nonjudgmental therapeutic
environment. Her work focuses not only on symptom reduction, but also on helping individuals
develop insight, resilience, emotional regulation, healthy coping skills, and long-term personal
growth.
A strong advocate for culturally responsive and inclusive care, Gail is committed to honoring the
diverse identities, values, and experiences of the individuals she serves. She is sensitive to the
impact that culture, systemic barriers, family dynamics, trauma, discrimination, and social stigma
can have on mental health and recovery. Gail strives to create an affirming space for individuals
of all backgrounds and is especially committed to supporting members of the LGBTQIA+
community with respect, compassion, and understanding. She recognizes the importance of
identity affirmation, psychological safety, and empowerment in the therapeutic process and
works to ensure clients feel accepted and valued exactly as they are.
Gail is particularly passionate about helping clients identify triggers, process unresolved trauma,
strengthen interpersonal relationships, and recognize the strengths and abilities they may not yet
see within themselves. She believes every individual possesses inherent worth, resilience, and
the capacity for growth, even during the most difficult periods of life. Through collaborative
therapeutic work, she helps clients build self-esteem, improve self-awareness, and reconnect with
their sense of purpose, values, and personal potential.
Known for her warm, approachable, and empathetic nature, Gail strives to meet clients where
they are while encouraging accountability, hope, and positive change. Her goal is to empower
individuals to become more self-reliant, emotionally healthy, and confident in their ability to
create meaningful and fulfilling lives.
